A. Thompson and Mr. J. Watters Elected G. A. Birkett Close Third The election of school trustees was held on Wednesday afternoon last, and as result Mr. B. A. Thompson was elected at the head of the poll with a vote of 231, Mr. J. Watters coming second with a vote of 214. Mr. G. A. Birkett polled 211, and Mr. L. G. Mather 100. Mr .Thompson's term ls for three Simpson Sisters Will Appear in East The Simpson Sisters, Margaret and Mary, yesterday received an invitation from The Arensi, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minn., to appear at their ice carnival on March 9th, 10th and llth. The invitation came through the recommendation of Miss Evelyn Chandler, of Brooklyn N.Y., who appeared as a professional at the recent Vancouver and Seattle carnivals, at which the local sisters appeared. Miss Chandler was very enthusiastic in her praise of the skill shown by the COMING EVENTS j The W. As a result an invitation has been received, as stated above, for them to appear ta the American city. Mrs. Simpson and her daughters expect to leave Bsinff about the 25 inst. for Toronto, where they have been booked to appear, smd later at Lucerne-ta-Quebec, the big winter resort of that province, also at other points in the East. Many members of this party have paid numerous visits to Norquay, but a good portion of them will be paying their first visit on Sunday.
