File consists of four drawings of ice cliffs at Cape Hotham, Cape Crawford at east entrance of Admiralty Inlet captioned 'The land about 8 or 10 miles westward of Cape Crawford'. These sketches include four elevation drawings showing the cliffs and beach rubble of the SW point of Melville Island. These elevation drawings were sketched in 1820 by Beechey on his voyage with Lieutenant W.E. Parry, 1819-1820, as documented in Sonia S. Bershad, 'The Drawings and Watercolours by Rear-Admiral Frederick William Beechey, F.R.S., P.R.G.S. (1796-1856),' Arctic 33.1 (March 1980): [reprint] 122-123, plate 1, with the accounts in Parry's Journal, 1821 (see Bershad's bibliography).
