Located on 12th Avenue, on site of old Calgary General Hospital. (See Calgary Herald: July 7, 1917) In the photograph are: Angus Sparrow; John L. Bowen; I.G. Baker, manager; 'Ghost River' McDonald, father of D.P.; Mr. Playfair; A.P. Patrick and Second Deputy Sheriff Fitzgerald; Willie Bowmen, 6th from the right. Sign beside door reads: 'Mortimer's Home Baked Vienna Bread.....Here'. Built in October 1875. Moved to 9th Avenue and 1st Street SE, 1883 - 1884.
