Rip-up clast sample
This is a sample of an intraformational sedimentary rock, classified as a limestone rip-up clast. The brecciated clasts suspended in the upper matrix have been ripped upwards from the lower origin rock by an erosive current that was once carrying the matrix as suspended sediment.
