Canadian customs house at summit of Chilkoot Pass, Alaska.
Copied from PA-233-43. The customs house was manned by North-West Mounted Police as the summit of Chilkoot Pass was located just east of the Alaska-Yukon border. Note the prospectors' supplies, rear. The North-West Mounted Police would not allow prospectors into the territory without enough food and supplies to last them through the winter.
