Parlour Games

Selections of parlour games books from the Eugène Strens Mathematics Collection in Special Collections.

The Eugène Strens Recreational Mathematics Collection was acquired through the dedication and generosity of Professor Richard and Mrs. Louise Guy, the estate of Eugène Strens and many other individuals who established the original collection of books, periodicals, puzzles and manuscripts. The collection includes works in English, French and many other languages and date from the 17th to the 20th century. The collection has grown through the donation of funds, individual titles or the personal libraries of recreational mathematicians such as Charles W. Trigg, Wade Philpott, Martin Gardner, William Schaaf, and Leon Bankoff.

Please note that the language, terminology or visual content in this collection reflects the context and culture of the time of its creation, and may include culturally sensitive information.
